Our Team

  • Susi Bruhns

It all begins with an idea.
And someone who organizes the idea.
    That’s Susi.
Current President of the LYC Board, Susi launched Radnor MTB in 2019 to give her sons a program where they could ride and create connections on their bikes. Now her daughter is part of the action, too.
Family was the why for every member of the Board when they first started. That’s probably why becoming one large Revolution Family has continued to be a core value ever since.

  • Kurt Morris

It all begins with an idea.
And Kurt has A LOT of them!
Kurt quickly joined Susi to launch Delco Revolution when the launch of Radnor meant PICL arrived in Delco. Head Coach Emeritus, Kurt is the riding force behind Delco RPM. His sons still join him when their schedules allow but more often than not you’ll find Kurt mentoring other youth at one of our programs or at Neighborhood Bike Works where he is also a Board Member.

  • Erinn Smith Delss

It all begins with an idea.
And Erinn keeps track of ALL of them as Delco Revolution Team Director. Coming from education, she’s a whiz at understanding the gibberish and wild ideas we come up with on the Board. And pulling them together to be a success. Erinn truly keeps us all on pedaling and on our saddles - and somehow always with that incredible smile on her face!

  • Rob Vander Veur

It all begins with an idea.
And Rob has a million of them from his million years in the bike industry. OK, maybe not THAT many years, but his wisdom and insight have to give him nearly that tenure!
Rob’s enthusiasm for cycling started at a young age and it hasn’t faded at all. He willingly shares his race and extensive mechanical knowledge with our youth and adults. And many new coach is known to ask to ride with Rob hoping to pick up on the trail insights he shares with coaches and kids alike!

  • Nathan Johnson

It all begins with an idea.
And since taking over as Revolution Head Coach in 2023, Nathan’s gotten more than a few new ideas rolling.
While newer to the sport of mountain biking than some of the Board, you’d never know it by how many trails and miles he’s ridden the past few years. Nathan’s enthusiasm for new trails and features matches some of our most accomplished riders - making him as much a peer on the trails as a teammate’s dad.

  • Nino Campobasso

It all begins with an idea.
And Nino has a many about how to improve parks and trail systems around Delaware County. With tools in hand, Nino enthusiastically tackles the gnarliest of invasive vines and poor trail erosion with conviction. However, Nino prefers long rides and the clarity of mind that comes with them so you’re more likely to find Nino on a long gravel ride as the singletrack he keeps rideable for the rest of us.

  • Altay Akgun

It all begins with an idea.
And for Altay that usually mean an idea how the coaches can help an athlete master a tricky section of trail or brand new feature. His years spent as a bicycle messenger in Philly gave him unparalleled on-the-bike skills. And his natural tendency to teach and instruct mean our our novice riders have one of the best when Coach Altay is riding with them! Many youth (& coaches) have gone from being inexperienced to confidently conquering challenging singletrack after only a few rides with Altay.

  • Coaches (More than just these 2 guys)

It all begins with an idea.

    AND A LOT OF COACHES!

As parents we love getting our kids on bikes. But many of us also love that we get to ride with them! And what’s even cooler for the kids is when non-team parents come on board as coaches. WHY?? Because they just love riding. (And usually wish there’d been a program like this when they were a teen!)

  • Team Mascot Pebbles

And, maybe it also takes a dog?

There are lots of team dogs but this one’s been around the longest. She isn’t free to run the trails (we like our dogs leashed) but she does love tracking her miles along with the kids!
