Frequently asked questions.

What is the difference between Liberty Youth Cycling, Delco Revolution and Delco RPM?

That’s a great question!

We try to simplify it as Liberty Youth Cycling is our 501(c)(3) PA non-profit corporation - its the business side of our programs. Delco Revolution MTB is the home for our NICA teams (Delco Revolution Haverford, Delco Revolution Marple Newtown, Delco Revolution Radnor, Delco Revolution Penncrest, Delco Revolution Strath Haven). Delco RPM is our USA Cycling Club offering weekly mountain bike and gravel rides and exploring other cycling disciplines during the non-NICA season.

Do I have to register to ride?

We allow one Try-It Ride for each program per NICA and Liberty Youth Cycling rules. After one ride participants need to register by completing the registration process for the program of interest.

How do I register for Delco RPM?

For RPM, all participants need to complete:

Which Revolution team should I register for?

Student athletes for register for the team where depending on the school district where they reside and attend school. Home schooling students should register as if attending school where they live. Ninth to 12th grade students who live in Delaware County but attend a private school should register for Revolution Composite. Middle school students who live in Delaware County but attend a private school should register for the Revolution team where they reside. No team in the school district where you live? Please email register@delcomtb.org so we can direct you to the right place.

I’m an adult and want to coach. Can I?

OF COURSE! We love our parent AND non-parent coaches. Complete the same registration links as above as if you’re a student athlete but check the “actually, I want to coach” box instead of the grade level and we’ll get you set up as a coach.

Wait, what’s this PitZone thing?

PitZone is the separate registration platform for NICA/PICL. If you are registering to ride with Delco Revolution and participate in NICA/PICL you also need to complete registration and payment for NICA/PICL in PitZone. Once you’ve completed all steps in BOTH PitZone AND for Revolution, you will be labeled “Ready to Ride” and welcome at our Revolution practices/rides. Yes, this means coaches, too!

Teen Trail Corps? What’s that?

Teen Trail Corps is a NICA program that encourages youth to participate in trail maintenance and clean up focused service in their communities. Youth can also work toward the nationally recognized Teen Trail Corps Captain award by completing activities focused on advocacy, service, responsible riding, and respect for the environment and community around them.
